Main PCRaster product

The PCRaster software package is our major product and is free of charge. It can be used by everyone for most purposes. Please read the licence agreement which is included in the package.

At present the download of package is hosted by Utrecht University at this link.

Extensions to the main product can be found on the page PCRaster extensions and add ons. These extensions include scenario managers and software to integrate PCRaster in the ArcView-Spatial Analyst environment.

Extensions, which include PCRaster scenario manager, versions for other platforms or integration in the ArcView environment, can be made available. These extensions are not free of charge.

Custom made extensions, new functionality, support for other platsforms or integrating PCRaster functionality in your product can be made available. Please contact PCRaster Environmental Software (info@pcraster.nl) for these products.

All PCRaster file formats are open standards, allowing creating your own applications that create or write PCRaster data formats. All ASCII formats are described in the manual. The binary grid format is supported by a GPL licensed.

PCRaster allows for the development of user-extentions. By developing dlls, users can create their own map-related functions. The documentation to do this can be found here.
